Our mission is to promote the health and well-being of mothers and babies through the advocacy, education, and support of exclusive breastfeeding. We are committed to raising awareness about the benefits of breastfeeding, empowering mothers with the knowledge and resources they need to succeed in their breastfeeding journey, and advocating for policies and practices that protect and
support breastfeeding mothers in all aspects of their lives. Through collaborative efforts with
communities, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and stakeholders, we aim to create a breastfeeding-friendly environment where every mother feels empowered and supported to breastfeed her child.

Milestones and Achievements
Since our inception, we have achieved significant milestones in our mission to support career mothers and promote exclusive breastfeeding. From establishing lactation stations in corporate offices to conducting educational workshops for healthcare professionals, here are some of our key achievements:.
In 2015, Career Mothers for Exclusive Breastfeeding was founded with a vision to champion the cause of
exclusive breastfeeding in Kenya. Our journey began with a commitment to promoting maternal and
child health through advocacy, education, and support initiatives.
One of our pioneering initiatives was the establishment of the Lactation Station Initiative. Since its
inception, we have set up over 50 lactation stations in workplaces across Kenya, providing breastfeeding
mothers with a supportive and conducive environment to continue breastfeeding upon returning to
work.
Over the years, we have expanded our reach through community outreach programs aimed at raising
awareness about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding. Through partnerships with local
organizations and community leaders, we have reached thousands of mothers and families with crucial
information and support.
We have been actively involved in advocating for breastfeeding-friendly workplace policies at both the
corporate and government levels. Our efforts have led to the adoption of policies that support
breastfeeding mothers in the workplace, including provisions for lactation breaks and dedicated
breastfeeding spaces.
Recognizing the critical role of healthcare professionals in supporting breastfeeding mothers, we have
conducted training programs and workshops to equip healthcare providers with the knowledge and
skills necessary to promote and support breastfeeding practices.
Each year, we organize and participate in Breastfeeding Week celebrations, hosting a series of events
and activities to celebrate breastfeeding and raise awareness about its benefits. These events serve as
platforms for advocacy, education, and community engagement.
Our annual Breastfeeding Advocacy Run has become a flagship event, drawing participants from across
the country to raise awareness and funds in support of exclusive breastfeeding. The run brings together
individuals, families, and organizations in a spirit of solidarity and advocacy for maternal and child
health.
