Workplace Transformation
We work with employers, institutions, and policymakers to create breastfeeding-friendly environments through:
- Lactation space design and setup
- Workplace policy development
- Employer sensitization and training
- Compliance support aligned to national regulations
We focus particularly on underserved environments such as commercial buildings with small offices where traditional lactation rooms are not feasible.
2. Lactation Spaces & Mobile Pods
CAMFEB has developed innovative solutions such as the CAMFEB Mobile Lactation Pod, designed to provide safe, private, and accessible breastfeeding and milk expression spaces.
These solutions:
- Reduce time burden for mothers
- Increase breastfeeding continuation rates
- Provide scalable infrastructure for workplaces and public spaces
We are expanding access across Kenya through partnerships and adoption programs.
3. Advocacy & Policy Alignment
We work closely with government and partners to:
- Strengthen implementation of breastfeeding policies
- Advocate for enforcement of workplace lactation requirements
- Support national targets on exclusive breastfeeding
Our advocacy is grounded in evidence and aligned with national and global frameworks.
4. Community Engagement & Public Awareness
We mobilize communities to normalize breastfeeding through:
- Public campaigns
- Educational initiatives
- Events and media engagement
We actively challenge stigma and create supportive environments for mothers.
5. Research & Evidence Generation
We support and initiate research to:
- Understand workplace breastfeeding challenges
- Inform policy and program design
- Provide data for national decision-making
